Another Day at the Poetry Corner........

This month's theme has been taking Jossverse characters to the fair. To be honest, I didn't contribute this month all that much, due to my DSL problems. But I did write a few, including an Eve poem.

This morning, I had to do a double-take when I was scrolling the Bronze-Beta page. Today's subject was Angel. (Yesterday's was Lindsey.)

Mine was there, along with Algerina's, Ojagwers', and Shade of Bronze's.

Moments from Menomegirl
Watching the fireworks with Angel at night
The last day of this fair seems just right
With everyone else, loads of fun has been had
A quiet, introspective stroll wasn't too bad
I've enjoyed the serenety of this peaceful time
But I didn't care much for watching that mime
I suppose all good things must come to an end
Would you just look at all the dust in the wind?

And then right under Algerina's Angel poem, she snuck this in--and I just thought I'd die laughing.

Menomegirl went to the fair
To ride the Ferris wheel while there
At the top she got stuck
But it was just her luck
Angel saved her by a hair

Then walking down the midway
Her new gold watch went astray
Stolen by a pick pocket
Who was going to hock it
Until Hero Angel saved the day

Angel is now her honey
Saving her life and money
He gaves her a kiss
fulfilling every wish
Now every day is sunny
Lindsey who?
