After the pain in the death of your child
The things that effect you seem very mild
It takes all of your energy to get through the day
You long with every breath to wish the pain away
You float through life, feeling empty, and don't really care
You hate everything surrounding you because it's not fair

It took me years to find a measure of peace inside
And a place in my heart where hope can reside
To stop hearing constant echos of the past
And let the world back into my life at last
To have faith where before only darkness roamed free
And look forward to each day with some sort of glee

I'm sorry if reading this made you feel sad
I didn't set out to make you guys feel bad
I never thought I'd experience that kind of pain again
Or that a network show would make my world spin
But the first stanza is exactly how it felt to me
The day Angel was cancelled by the WB.

I know I've said this before, but I am truly sorry for your loss. And I wholeheartedly agree with the feelings that you felt when you heard Angel was cancelled. I had those after the denial went away.

My journal isn't updated that often, and I'm new to boot, so bear with me. I'm sort of an anomaly because I belong to such diverse groups that don't mesh together very well.

What can I say? I'm ambigious....LMAO~
