Intolerance Just Irks Me

That's the most ignorant thing I've read in a pretty long while. That's just sad, it truly is. I don't understand people who claim to be so religious and have such intolerance for their fellow man (or woman, as the case may be) in their hearts.

Gah. Closed-minded morons. *grumbles* If God is so all-powerful, why would He make people that He, by his own supposed rules, would be forced to hate? Logic, people. Use some.

I'm having such a week of rage when it comes to these uber-conservative and remarkably loud opinions. Just resigned from a speaking club I typically participate in, after biting my tongue through a solid couple months of racial/sexist/political slurs at every meeting. Gave 'em a nice little rant before I left, too. :P

I knew it was but I was so hoping once it had come out, people would see the agonizing beauty of the story itself and look past stereotypes to see that it was a love story, no matter how unconventional it may be for some.

The problem of course being that people who think that way won't go see it at all because of how it's an instrument of the devil and all. *rolls eyes*

But you never know--ONE person might walk into that movie because of the controversy and come out with a totally different perspective. Here's hoping.

It's always those who preach the loudest that are furthest from God's path. Not that I'm religious; I believe as long as what you do isn't hurting anyone why the hell should anyone else give a damn?
