I wasn't in a poem frame of mind today, so for your birthday, I wrote you a drabble. It's exacty 100 words and about Lindsey.
Warning though-it's angsty.
Regret. Clarity.
It's the first time he's been grateful for something since childhood had been ripped away from him.
Unknown emotions that he only spends a brief few seconds experiencing as his heart pumps madly,
his lungs filling with the fluid so precious to his archenemy.
Flashing images and struggling to hold on to the life torn away.
In those last fleeting seconds as he struggles to breathe, Lindsey knows in the deepest part of his soul what regret truly is.
He's grateful Angel didn’t hear his name whispered out on his dying breath.
I could sing for you.
